A complete painted cotton mantle depicting a female deity. This Chancay painted textile shows the figure holding a staff and encircled by a serrated serpent.

A mate to this textile by the same artist, but of a male deity, is in the Reynaldo Luza Collection. It is published in Painted Peruvian Textiles by Unknown Artists, #4 and Textile Art of Peru, page 293. (Bernstein 1996)
